Querying the Semantic Web with Ginseng: A Guided Input Natural Language Search Engine
The Semantic Web presents the vision of a distributed, dynamically growing knowledge base founded on formal logic. Common users, however, seem to have problems even with the simplest Boolean expression. As queries from web search engines show, the great majority of users simply do not use Boolean expressions. So how can we help users to query a web of logic that they do not seem to understand? ...
متن کاملAn Investigative Search Engine for the Human Trafficking Domain
Enabling intelligent search systems that can navigate and facet on entities, classes and relationships, rather than plain text, to answer questions in complex domains is a longstanding aspect of the Semantic Web vision. This paper presents an investigative search engine that meets some of these challenges, at scale, for a variety of complex queries in the human trafficking domain. The engine pr...
متن کاملQuerying the Semantic Web with Corese Search Engine
This paper presents an ontology-based approach for web querying, using semantic metadata. We propose a query language based on ontologies and emphasize its ability to express approximate queries, useful for an efficient information retrieval on the web. We present the Corese search engine dedicated to RDF(S) metadata and illustrate it through several real-world applications.

متن کاملUsing Ontologies for Medical Image Retrieval - An Experiment
Medical research and clinical workflows often involve collaboration between various institutions. Therefore, ontologies such as SNOMED CT1 or the Foundational Model of Anatomy (FMA)2 have gained acceptance as an important tool for a common standard of communication. Medical images are often stored in large databases or file systems along with information including radiologists’ reports, finding...
